CS Indonesia and MPDV Share Insights at National Textile Seminar 2019 on Industry 4.0 and Smart Factory Solutions

On August 28, 2019, at the Trans Convention Center in Bandung, CS Indonesia, in partnership with MPDV, had the privilege of being one of the key speakers at the National Textile Seminar 2019. This prestigious event was organized by Balai Besar Tekstil in collaboration with the Indonesian Ministry of Industry. The seminar, which gathers industry leaders, government agencies, academics, and business professionals, attracted 150 participants and served as a platform for discussing the future of the textile and apparel industry in the context of Industry 4.0.

The theme of this year’s seminar was "Challenges and Opportunities for Textile and Apparel Innovation in Industry 4.0." As a leading solution provider in Industry 4.0 in Indonesia, CS Indonesia together with MPDV, was the ideal speaker duo to shed light on the transformative role of digital technologies in manufacturing and how the textile industry can leverage them to stay competitive.

Mr. Sascha Graef, Managing Director of MPDV Asia Pte, Ltd, and an expert in the field with over 40 years of experience, delivered an insightful presentation on the challenges facing the textile industry and how Smart Factory solutions can help tackle these challenges. His talk centered on the critical role of automation, data integration, and intelligent systems in enhancing production efficiency and improving quality control, key aspects of Industry 4.0.

In addition to Mr. Graef, the seminar featured distinguished keynote speakers including Sony Sulaksono, Head of Industry Ministry R&D Center for Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Textile, Metal, Machinery, Transportation, and Electronics; Euis Saedah, Chairperson of the Indonesian Fiber Council; and Sudirman Habibie, representing the Technology Assessment and Application Agency. Each speaker contributed valuable insights into how Indonesia can develop a robust ecosystem for innovation and growth in the textile industry through collaboration and the adoption of cutting-edge technologies.

The seminar played a crucial role in fostering collaboration between various stakeholders in the textile sector, including government agencies, research and development institutions, industry associations, and business leaders. It highlighted the importance of working together to build an innovation ecosystem that can drive the future of textile manufacturing and ensure its success in the face of Industry 4.0.

With discussions focused on the evolving landscape of technology in the textile industry, the seminar offered attendees a comprehensive understanding of how embracing digital transformation can provide new opportunities, improve operational efficiency, and boost the competitiveness of the Indonesian textile sector on a global scale.
