On January 21, 2020, CS Indonesia and MPDV, in collaboration with Gabungan Industri Alat Mobil dan Motor (GIAMM), hosted a highly engaging seminar at Harris Hotel & Conventions, Jakarta. As one of Indonesia’s largest automotive associations, GIAMM brought together many of its members to participate in this insightful event, which focused on the future of manufacturing under the theme "Smart Factory."
The seminar served as an essential platform for industry leaders to discuss the role of Industry 4.0 in transforming the manufacturing sector. Participants actively shared their experiences and challenges, making the event an interactive and dynamic discussion on digital transformation.
Mr. Hadi Surjadipradja, Secretary General of GIAMM, delivered an insightful session on Industry 4.0, emphasizing its impact on the automotive and manufacturing industries. Since Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) are critical components of a successful Smart Factory, the event featured in-depth presentations on these topics by Mr. Sascha, Mr. Eddy, and Mr. Indra.
One of the key highlights of the seminar was a live demonstration by Mr. Marcellino from MPDV, showcasing how MES operates on the shop floor. The demo provided participants with a hands-on understanding of how MES integrates with ERP systems to streamline production, improve efficiency, and enable real-time decision-making.
With the valuable knowledge gained from this event, participants are now better equipped to implement Smart Factory solutions in their companies, ensuring they are prepared for the rapid advancements of Industry 4.0.
